FAQ
Your therapist will review your health history, discuss your goals, and explain the treatment plan. You’ll be draped at all times, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Please know that assessment is included in your treatment time.
Wear whatever makes you comfortable. For most treatments, clients undress to their underwear. You will always be professionally draped for privacy.
It is totally up to you. Some clients enjoy talking, while others prefer silence. Your therapist will follow your lead — this is your time.
This time is dedicated to you and each person's needs are different. Examples of when to speak up:
The pressure isn’t right
You feel pain or sharp discomfort
You’re cold, too warm, or uncomfortable
You need a different area focused on
Something makes you feel unsafe or uneasy
Yes! Prenatal massage is safe for most pregnancies and often very helpful. Be sure to let your therapist know how far along you are so they can position you safely. Our clinic started as a prenatal clinic only and our therapists have advanced training. You are welcome to lie face down on our pregnancy cushions or side lying if you are more comfortable.
Many extended health plans cover RMT services. Contact your provider to confirm your coverage. Direct billing is available at our clinic but at times you may have to pay and we will give you a receipt to submit. Many providers pay to the client and at times the system may be unavailable if network issues are happening.
We don’t expect tips! The best way to show your appreciation is referrals!
If you get sick, please “contact us” by phone to reschedule your appointment – especially if you are experiencing body aches or you suspect a fever. Your treatment will be safer and more enjoyable once you feel better. Please note there is a “4-hour cancellation policy” in effect.
Absolutely not!
Your massage therapist does not care if you shaved, didn’t shave, missed a spot, or are rocking full winter legs. Body hair is totally normal and doesn’t affect your treatment one bit. Come as you are — we’re here for your muscles, not your razor routine.
If you arrive late for your appointment for any reason, you will forfeit the elapsed time and will be charged the full treatment cost. Please double check which location you booked at!
We accept payment by cash, debit, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.
Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form. This will arrive by email. The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. To best serve you, we may discuss your case with other healthcare providers. We kindly ask that you advise of us any major health changes or change in your contact information including your emergency contact.
For safety purposes, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Intoxication
Poor hygiene
Derogatory or bigoted comments
Sexual or romantic advances
Illness or infectious conditions
Contagious or unidentified skin conditions (ex. rashes, warts, mysterious bug bites) If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving a massage. Please note there is a “4-hour cancellation policy” in effect.
